I am a mother of three beautiful children.
Technically my journey into birth work began with the birth of my oldest child in 2000. But it really started many years before with my own birth. I am ever-changing, ever-evolving, and I hope I am never done with that.
I truly believe in birth and the ability of women to give birth. My hope is one day for all people to believe in that for themselves.

I love cold weather until it has lasted for too long. Autumn is my favorite season. Ice-cream makes me happy. Music of all kinds moves my soul. I am a grammar fanatic and I adore wordy words. I love the smell of rain just before it comes and grass that’s just been mowed. I also love the sound of children laughing, meeting new people, summer rain on a sunny day, driving with the windows down, and laughing until I cry. My favorite movies so far are: Dirty Dancing, Crash, Snatch, Hairspray, Pretty Woman, The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink, St. Elmo’s Fire, Office Space, Across the Universe, Imagine Me & You, Better Than Chocolate, Donnie Darko, Girl Interrupted, Heavenly Creatures, Lost and Delirious, Napoleon Dynamite, Heathers, Thumbsucker, The Wedding Singer, Shaun of the Dead, and the list continues to grow. My favorites in music are 80′s music, alternative rock, Garbage, and Ani DiFranco. Finally, I absolutely adore reading and will read anything I can get my hands on that holds my attention.
